"You've got to kiddin' me" Rollie muttered, casting an eye across the deck of the Black Pearl for anything that might delay the inevitable "well if it's radar guided we're sunk. Jack, count to ten, then turn towards the yacht!"

At the wheel Jack swayed, casting a quick eye rearwards towards the following ship and down at the compass he held in one hand. Which was really the bigger threat?

"Turn turn turn!" Rollie shouted, noticing Jack's lack of attention.

Spinning the wheel hard, Jack sent the Pearl turning in response "Down the port anchor" he commanded, sending his crew scurrying to the task.

When the anchor bit into the seabed the Pearl lurched, straining against its headway and suddenly coming around almost on the spot.

Angie watched as a dark slimlined shape sped past along the side of the ship, missing narrowly. Rollie wiped his head at her signal of the miss.

The speedboat came on, straight towards the Pearl when suddenly the sea between the two began to boil, a mass of bubbles bursting on the surface... and the tip of a tentacle rose from amongst them.
