Cameron DaddoKevin Dobson plays Leo McCarthy, a maverick detective with street smarts and guile prone to unpredictability. Born in Queens, New York, Dobson is the fourth child in a family with seven children.

With a career spanning three decades, Mr. Dobson is equally at home on the stage as well as in front of the camera. He is best known to TV viewers as Mack MacKenzie, the character he played on Knots Landing for more than ten years, which garnered him the 1992 Soap Opera Digest Best Actor Award.

Kevin's television career began with him playing the series regular (Sonny Crocker) on CBS' Kojak, followed by Knots Landing and he can be seen more recently on The Commish and Touched by an Angel as a guest star. In addition to his work on these series, he has completed more than twenty five television movies including: Help Wanted (CBS) for which he was nominated for an Emmy for best actor, Katie (NBC), Conviction (CBS), House of Secrets and Lies (CBS) and Mickey Spillane's Margin for Murder (CBS). His prominent film career includes All Night Long (Universal) which was directed by Jean-Claude Tramont and Midway (Universal) directed by Jack Smight.

In addition to being an actor, husband and full time father, Kevin Dobson has been the recipient of numerous awards commemorating his philanthropy, given speeches and met with two Presidents. Twice he has served as Chairman of the National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans and was keynote speaker and hosted the Veterans Inaugural Ball for both President Clinton and President Bush. He has received AMVETS "Silverhelmet" the American Legion's "National Commander's Public Relation award," and the Americanism Award" from the American Legion's Honor Society, the Forty & Eight. Among his other charitable work, Dobson has hosted telethons for the arthritic Foundation and the United Negro College Fund.

This determined actor has seen the hard side of Hollywood, but his faith has always seen him through. In what spare time he can find, Dobson enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
